JACOLI – Trading & Consulting was founded in January 2011 and is actually based in Guimarães. In the scope of its operational activity, it supplies consulting and trading services. The idea of creating the company emerged after the reconnaissance of a gap in the sourcing of raw materials and in progress materials/products in several areas of the Portuguese textile industry. With more than 30 years of experience in this industry, assuming functions and responsibilities in areas such as Sourcing/Purchasing, Logistics, Sales, and Internal Market, in two major players in the Portuguese Industry, Jaime Coelho Lima decided to create JACOLI and prosecute a project that aims to add value to the sector and, at the same time, reinvent the traditional way of acting of commercial agents that have always worked in this field. His past course allowed him to gather great knowledge about the traditional exporters of this needful input for the home textiles and clothing sectors, namely, India, China, Pakistan and Egypt, but also, to establish relevant connections with several other players in those markets. Since trading services are company’s core business, JACOLI aims to serve the Portuguese textile industry, creating conditions that point to the promotion of its competitiveness in the foreign markets. The prosecution of this intent will be made through the establishment of stable and long-lasting relationships with suppliers and clients.
