Andy Holt has been in a word \Awesome\ as a guide and coach who has given honest advice and more often than not convinced me to not spend money unnecessarily but more importantly when I do spend money with them the results like Andy's advice is simply awesome! Just upgraded my cartridge after a little accident and Andy advised me what to buy, set it up for me and the results are Night and Day. The cartridge has brought out hidden detail in my system and musicality and clarity are massive increased. Just click and collect purchased a new Rega PL2 turntable after reaching out to PJ Hi-fi via their site. Spoke with Mike who provided me with lots of insight and support when comparing the PL1 vs. the PL2. Will be back again I'm sure.
I am so pleased we chose to go to PJ HiFi for our new turntable, amp and speakers. I was looked after by Andy Holt who was excellent. He gave me a demonstration of one system built around a turntable I'd been looking at online that he paired with an amp/speakers he felt worked well with it, and a second system based on components that were a step up from those in the first system. Both sounded great and his subsequent email detailing the merits and key elements of each was very helpful. We made a return visit, my wife joining me armed with some of our own albums so we could compare when listening to some favourite tracks. One track had particular significance for my wife and she was moved to tears on hearing it sound so beautiful, especially through the second system. That was the one we bought and we have been delighted with that choice. We're very grateful to Andy Holt and the team at PJ Hifi who we highly recommend for their knowledge, enthusiasm and excellent customer service.
So far so good. Richard the owner, met me outside and took my REGA turntable which may need a new cartridge. I paid 80 on account, which was fine by me and I wait to hear when it'll be ready for collection. All good.
Really excellent service. Fantastic expertise, great advice and an incredibly helpful team.
