Guildford castle is a wonderful place to visit at Guildford. It is the prime spot in Guildford. The second place one must visit is the mount. Though recently the interior of the castle is locked for renovation, ( I too have not seen it) the surroundings and the castle perimeter is fantastic and mind-blowing. The Guildford town is visible from the castle and the beauty of the entire town is visible from there. Castle has a walkable distance from the town. The car parking is possible only in the backside of the castle ...

Although the castle itself is on the mend, It's ground is at it's finest. Lush green grass and vibrant coloured flowers that are obviously well kept are just a treat on the eye. I envy the locals who can access this place on regular basis as the vibe of the beautiful ground give you the feels of peace.

What a wonderful looking castle and garden. You can tell hard work is put in its up keep. Lovely place to visit and wonderful to have a stroll in/around . When you first enter the park theres a big board with a map of everything in the park . Nice memorial.

The castle gardens were beautiful. Very well maintained and scenic. Lots of places to sit and have a picnic, with several benches. Most of the grounds were flat or had slopes, but there were a few sets of stairs, I'd say 90% of the grounds were wheelchair friendly. Unfortunately when we visited there were maintenance works being done on the castle, so we weren't able to go in the castle.
