I have been an artist since the age of 13 and began attending Henriette’s classes in 2014. Henriette has helped inspire me to start exhibiting and selling my art. I have seen her teach to all abilities and have seen many artists flourish under her guidance. She instantly makes anyone comfortable to take up a brush, pencil, some clay etc. While I have not utilized her art therapy service, I know that she puts her heart and soul into helping others through art and can only imagine that this is to great success. This is evident in her frequent bookings with new clients as well as regulars who look to her for therapy. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!

As a complete novice and having spent a lifetime claiming to have no artistic skill, Henriette was brilliant in teasing out my embryonic abilities. She encouraged me to experiment with different mediums and then to focus on the style that felt most natural. She guided me with a combination of theory, set exercises and detailed advice on any particular piece that I was working on. With good humour and knowledgeable insight she has awakened my desire to continue sketching and painting - a passion that is now a part of my life. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone wanting to discover or improve their artistic endeavours.

Henriette is and has been a huge inspiration and support during my creative journey. For several years I’ve attended her art classes which she teaches in a studio at her back garden and it’s always been a highlight of the week. Henriette teaches in small groups to people with various art styles and techniques, from beginners to advanced, which creates a supportive and inspirational atmosphere. Being a successful artist herself, she has an abundance of experience that she’s happy to share, but perhaps most importantly she has the ability to make yourself believe you can do it.

Henriëtte is a generous facilitator of creativity. She offers a lovely balance between teaching, encouraging and allowing space for finding your own direction and working at your own pace. Laughter and tea also part of the process. I thoroughly recommend, especially for anyone wanting to kick start their own creative play.
