Grove City College

Grove City College is the best bang for your buck. The reasonable cost of the outstanding education makes it one of the best deals in the country.

I am much older and attended Grove City College many years ago and because of my senior years can look at my education there in a different light. I want to add that in later years I went to Boston University and received a Masters Degree in Social Work. It was at BU that I learned how to think. That was not the case at GCC. I very much liked the other students at Grove City but I believe that we were only encouraged to look at \the conservative way\ which did not bade me well throughout my life. My true learning of surviving in the real world came after I left this school which did not encourage broad base thinking. That has been my take. A school that teaches many ways of thinking would have perhaps benefited me much more.

Beautiful school. Beautiful people. Move in day for my daughter was great, highlighted by someone praying over her after she moved in her dorm.

Grove City is an excellent college with a host of great faculty, and I'm not just saying that because it is the alma mater of many of my family members. That being said, in recent years, GCC has drifted from its conservative reputation by hiring more liberal (both religiously and politically) professors, hosting more liberal speakers at chapel, and succumbing to liberal practices (besides some questionable actions on the part of the college throughout this pandemic). The change is gentle but alarming to me, to my family, to long-time conservative faculty, and to many of the student body whose expectations of the institution have not matched their experiences. At the moment, the high quality of education persists, and because of that and for convenience, I will continue to pursue my degree at GCC. However, I'm afraid that if these shadows go unaltered, I will no longer be able to recommend the college in good conscience by the time I complete my degree. I pray that God preserves this bulwark of private, traditional liberal arts Christian education, and I pray that, if you are a student or a parent considering GCC, God give you guidance to see through the advertisements into the true nature of things and decide rightly in accordance with His will.
