Insurance appointed Grove to do our repair work after a leak. Took them 7 weeks to realise our kitchen needed drying out and that was only because I told them. Finally attended to plaster and started by putting a huge hole in our ceiling then decided it needed asbestos testing and we would have someone out within 48 hours. Turned the kitchen light on the next morning after they'd messed with it and the cover dropped off hitting me and shattering on the floor. Thanks for that Grove. 5 days later someone came to take a sample. Was told results within 48 hours. 6 days later after chasing it up yet again told result was negative. Never come across a receptionist as rude as Courtney. Tells me we are pencilled in for new kitchen to be installed on 6th January 2021 - 4 months after the leak now being told it won't be January as all dates are full despite being pencilled in and its now going to he February before they can start remedial work. Over 5 months after we had the leak and they think that's acceptable. I am sick and tired of constantly having to chase this up to find anything out. Severe lack off communication from Grove and when they do ring Courtney's attitude is abysmal. I have told my insurance I will not have this company in my home. Id rather wait another 5 months for a competent company to do my work. I think Grove need to try living with half a kitchen, cracked and dangerous floor tiles, wet electrics and now a huge hole in our celing for 5 months and see how it affects them. Would neither recommend them or let them in my home!!!

Insurance company choice to carry out repairs to my flood damaged home. More damage done by their workmen a door, damaged blind by wrenching down rather than releasing from clips, alarm unusable as wiring damaged. I had to request them to stop work as they were going to redecorate rooms without painting ceilings, doors or frames - totally pointless. The small amount of wallpapering they did was totally bad papering over picture hooks rather than removing them also did not remove air brick vent (4 screws) to paper under it just cut around it - total mess. New skirting boards were not flush to walls half inch gaps in places also gaps between skirting and door frame. 6 months from flood damage and still living in a building site. Worst is when they turn up its half a days work as travelling two plus hours each way arrive around 10am leave at 4pm. Why did I not get the workmen doing the work getting good reviews?

i researched several building firms to refit my kitchen, which needed a complete rip out, plastering, new floor, electrics and fitting. They weren’t the cheapest but they were reasonable. The service from the office was very good and the lads that did the work were very polite and happy. The office staff kept me informed of changes and even new ideas The wife hadn’t thought of. They finished ahead of schedule and my wife loves her dream kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

Professional plasterer that did our ceiling after a leak. The decorated that followed wasn't as good but did do a half decent job.
