One of the highlights of my time in Groningen. There was a comfortable chair on the second floor in the corner of the building, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Grote Markt. I sat for two hours reading a great book and drinking great coffee (only 2 euro, btw!). As if that wasn't enough, a professional pianist was there playing classic pieces the whole time I was there. What a bookstore!

Always a really good place to stroll around, and spend some time. A classic book store where you can get lost in all the different options. Next to a really large Dutch section, it also has a large English department, and a small assortment of books in other languages. Suitable for literature, as well as lecture on a large range of topics, varying from music, to science, to geography. Think of a topic and this store will have a book on it.
