Having contacted Martijn to file a tax return on my behalf, my experience was initially pleasant and it seemed as though everything was going smoothly. I provided him with a variety of sensitive information (e.g. income details and social security numbers for two separate countries), he then completely ceased all contact. It has been almost a year since I last heard from him, and he has not responded to multiple emails. Having found out that he sometimes operates out of the International Welcome Centre in Groningen, I asked if they could help me make contact with him three weeks ago. They were successful in reaching him, and relayed a message from Martijn to me that he would contact me ASAP. Last week, having still not heard from Martijn, I asked I if the IWC they could contact him again and on this occasion, even they could not reach him. This is about as unprofessional conduct I have ever had the displeasure of being treated to (by Paping Belastingadvies, not the IWC, who were great) and it's particularly egregious, given that I handed over a variety of sensitive information. I just feel lucky that I hadn't actually paid for any 'services' yet.
