Love it. Two lovely ladies at the counter who make you feel comfortable. Wonderful cheesecake, excellent double Illy spresso.

I feel like the waitress only cares about the local people. She served the locals first even though they came later than us. We ordered water after coffee. The waitress kept us waiting for more than 30mins. I just wonder how much work it could take for just bringing us two cup of water. We left before getting dehydration.
Excellent casual place in the heart of groneigen. I've been here several times and I keep going back. There's plenty of seats inside and out,(outside has a roofed area for shelter). It's been comfortable busy but never feels crowded. The menu is great plenty of variety and there's ways a special on the board outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful (especially as I speak English ) they helped show what does and does not have nuts (walnut allergy). There's no parking outside but it's on a pedestrianised street so it doesn't matter. Highly recommend this gem! 10/10
The Palazzo coffee house is conveniently connected to the Palazzo couture shop. In role confirming patterns, husbands of shopping ladies can enjoy a cappuccino whilst their spouses are spending money. A small advocaatje (Dutch eggnog) is complimentary with the coffee, a nice gesture. They also have a nice terrace on the streetside.
Great coffee, and great personnel: they know what they are brewing and they love it. That is reflected in the taste. Went there on a Saturday morning in desperate need of espresso (meaning real espresso) and could not find a good one, until I stumbled on Palazzo. Got to talk to the person serving and he was very engaging .. also let me taste their cappuccino .. again a real cappuccino, not those lousy coffeemilk substitutes (often even sold as cappuccino) you so often get in the Netherlands .. simply highly recommended if you care for quality coffee.
After being waited for almost 40 minutes I just left... very sad cause I really wanted to try the paninis.. the waitress served the locals, who came much later then I did, first even tho I was already waiting for 30 minutes.. internationals not very welcome I guess
Before the menu changed, this was THE place to get an affordable but tasty luxury coffee. Following the change, it's more expensive and less good, sadly. Service has also slipped. If you don't like the cream -drowned coffee, you don't get anything in response from the staff. A shame, as this has royally put me off.
I was at Palazzo 5-6 times in September but will never go there again! Everything was good, the quality of coffee as well as quality of service, until the last time. It was a very nice and sunny day when I offered my friend to get a coffee. We entered the Palazzo, the barista/waiter ( man with a little or no hair) was quite busy. He looked at us and didn't say hello or anything. When I said hello his cold look was very unwelcoming. When I started to ask him something, he interrupted and said: "For take away or drink here?" I said: "We would like to drink here, can we get..." I didn't finish my phrase when the guy in a very rude way told "Go and sit! I will come to you" I said yes, I understand, could you bring two cappuccinos for us" His response was really rude again. That's exactly what he told us: "I said, GO AND SIT!!! I WILL COME TO YOU." He was just getting mad for nothing, really nothing. Well, I never experienced something like that in the city where I’ve been living already for 5 year. Groningen has plenty of nice coffee places and I will definitely never come back to this one!
