We have used Grimm’s for over 6 years for mechanical repairs and general servicing of our diesel pick up truck and RV’s. We have only had excellent experiences with them over the years. We have always dealt with Rick. Note: we are not related to, or personal friends, of anyone who works there.

I had an accident on Monday, January 22 at around 5PM. My vehicle was not driveable so the police officer on the scene called this company to tow my car. I advised the police officer and the driver of the tow truck that my drivers side door did not open. There was very little physical damage on that door, but the fender was pushed up against it so it couldn't open. Sometime between 5PM on January 22nd through Wednesday, January 24th when my insurance adjuster went to write the estimate on my car, someone from this company decided that they didn't care that my door didn't open, they were going to make it open. When I saw what had happened to the door, I was so upset. The insurance adjuster told me my vehicle is a possible total loss. But this damage on my door added 1500 to the cost of repairs as the door now has to be replaced when it did not when the accident happened. I called the manager of the company to discuss the damage that his company had done to my vehicle, his final words to me were to prove it! So here is my proof. If i was you and I was looking to get my car towed, I would run far away from this company as they do not care about you, or your vehicle!

Grimm's picked my Dad's Motor home up from 795 after failing brakes. Let him know that their shop in Frederick could fix it quickly for him. Tow truck driver was friendly, and knowledgeable. Motor home was fixed by 10:00 am the next morning. Everyone was pleasant from driver, receptionist, and owners. The price they charged for repairs was a very fair price. This is an example where you can't always let reviews help you make your decision of a business. Thanks to Grimm's Automovation my Dad is on his way to his bluegrass festival, and won't have to miss a beat. Thanks again!

I was towed during Covid for parking over the line in a neighbors spot. The neighbor did not have the right to tow. They towed anyway and asked the HOA later. They charged me twice!!! She said it didn’t go through but made me use Debit! So now I am out 400. I was home at the time and I would have been happy to move my truck, I had put my truck there to unload a huge amount out of my truck and the neighbor had already moved out. The neighbor had been parking over the line with their truck since they moved out. The bottom line! They did not have the right to trick me into charging me twice. The HOA president said that they were not to tow during COVID! And they said that they don’t care. They are crooks! They said they couldn’t help me with getting the double charge removed. Must be nice to hold onto people’s money. All it would have taken was a knock on the door. Simple people!

Ilegally towed my truck, I got it back after 1.5 hours of waiting. They dragged my awd car in park and attached the hooks to my leaf springs. Edit: I called Rob to inform him of how the towtruck driver towed my car incorrectly and he, without telling me he would be doing so, sent the driver back with a partner who proceeded to yell at me and get increasingly violent. They saw me 3 hours later and followed me to 7/11 and yelled at me from their window. Awful company Violent drivers Scummy tactics In the end avoid this company at all costs. For background I work security and they had my car called in on a lot it was approved to be at, they ignored the security signs and towed it anyway. They were on another call so they weren't able to get my car back for another hour and a half preventing me from doing my job.
