A surprise gem! This is a small, laid back restaurant that has a variety of Japanese ramen, pho and Burmese cuisine. Service may be a bit slower due to the staff size but food is delicious and comes out fast. We will be back to try the ramen! FOOD I ordered the Samosa appetizer which is savory and crunchy. They use several layers of the wonton skins fried for the outside and inside was potatoes and onions. That paired with the sweet chili dipping sauce was a smash, esp at 6 samosas for 3. I also ordered the Kye oo, which is a rice noodle soup, like pho, and it comes with quail eggs, meat balls, sliced meat and a few veggies . The broth was savory and meaty, and I added a bit of hoisin for my preferred taste. Size was generous as typical of pho. ATMOSPHERE and SERVICE The place is small, one room with long tables spanning across the middle to accomodate larger parties. There is a large tv mounted to the wall where they stream music videos (American pop) and in this case we heard songs from The Weeknd and Billie Eilish. They have a restroom in the back and there was one waitstaff who was serving all the tables and handling takeout orders on the phone. She was friendly and efficient. There were about 3 tables of people when we arrived around 6:30PM and we were the last table there, leaving around 7:30pm.

Love Kimu. One of the southsides hidden gems. Consistent tasty food at reasonable prices. What more do you want from a non-chain restaurant.
Honestly, one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. They were such nice people and the food was amazing and it had such a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend and would come again!
Unprofessional customer service ever ! Waitress was so rude. We were Asking for high chair for our baby but waitress point at me and let me go get myself. She is not even busy just chatting with someone. Only one or two table in the whole restaurant. Never go back again because of her attitude! While we leaving my 2yrs old son said bye-bye ,she not even respond. Food are okay. NOTE!! She doesn't even wear face mask proper way which is against the state law.!
I don't review anything, but this is the closest to southeast asian potluck soup I've had since I was eating street food in Ho Chi Minh City. The seafood is fresh and the vegetables are prepared the way I remember overseas 8 years ago. Its not what I would expect for a Tom Yum traditional dish but brought me back to traveling days. Will go back
