This is my first Guest Review. Meaning giving a honest review for a friend. Here goes...... Would give more stars but for this Simple Customer Service function that Fresh Market doesn't seem to get, is when your waiting in line and they open a new lane. The cashiers have always been nice but when I'm standing in line and they opening a new lane, they just walk up and turn light on and then someone without home training in back of line runs to that register. Now I've been to many stores and Most will either walk up to the next person in line Or say ext person please\. Now, somewhere in the training process Or lack of training process, this is totally missed. Come on Fresh Market!

At first I didn’t get it, but now I love it! Shopping here is always a great experience and I hate shopping. I leave smiling and I love the convenience of how close it is to my home. The food is high quality, competitively priced, and reasonable for certain items compared to regular super markets like Harris Teeter whose food is not nearly as good. My husband and I have so many favorites, but the best is their prepared seafood. The Maryland crab cakes, and the oyster Rockefeller is the best I’ve had, and they even have escargot on a seasonal basis! I am pleasantly surprised every time I try something new. Other favorites are their chicken pot pie, Italian charcuterie meats, any dessert, really too much to list! I think this place is best for food for special occasions and when you have guests over. And the staff is always so helpful, cheerful and sincerely nice. The only drawback is that you can’t really do all of your shopping here, a small bag of shredded cheddar cheese is 4.99 and at Harris Teeter it’s 1.99. Some foods make sense to pay more for to get higher quality, but all shredded cheddar cheese is pretty much the same. And the price of a baguette at 4.99 is ridiculous! I’ll still shop there for select items no matter what. I recognize that they are serving a niche and not a general grocer, so I accept it. Also, they did have a jolly waving Santa at Christmas time and I loved that so much!
Let me just say these strawberry mousse pillows are phenomenal. I got them today they are a light airy not heavily sweet piece of heavenly dessert. A must try Made with fresh baked croissant filled with Bavarian cream a light whip cream and strawberries and dusted with powdered sugar.
It is always fun going here. The produce and meats are top notch. The good folks who work here are friendly and courteous. You never know what you will find that will be your new favorite!
Clean store with excellent food and a great staff. If you're looking for easy healthy meals that won't break the bank, check out their meal kits as well as the rotating selection of \Little Big Meals.\ Fresh meats and produce are killer here, a great beer cave filled with crafts beers are some of my favorites, but there are so many wonderful deli/bakery goods and specialty grocery items.
