Very covid 19 compliant! Food was hot and fresh a little lacking in flavour but still very good. Especially for the price and portion. Lovely staff and clean pub

Food used to be great here, have now found out a new owner, my god its bad! Started off fine, ordered quickly and starter arrived very fast! Garlic breaded mushrooms, expect the breaded bit was rock hard but was nice and hot. Not the greatest tasting though but the salad garnish was nice. Then the problems really started. We ordered the classic beef burger, which came with lettuce and tomato, served with chips and coleslaw and we added the onion rings. Chips were nice, onion rings were nice, but thats it. The burger was rock hard and when you did manage to bite into it, after allowing it to cool while eating the chips and onion rings. The burger was still that hot, i burnt the inside of my mouth. My fiancee also did, even though she'd cut it in half when it arrived. But the worst, absolute worst bit was the coleslaw. We didnt even try it because we could have got food poisoning from it. It looked as if it was left out for a few days and then attempted to make it look fresh. A piece of carrot had actually shrivelled up. When i went and complained, nothing was said of the coleslaw which was shocking but their response was our burgers are cooked to 82c, if it was only cooked to that, 5c higher than well done beef, then it wouldnt have burnt my mouth like it did. We cancelled the dessert and had a refund of the burgers and desert and had a mcflurry instead. Oh, and in the shandy all i could taste was line cleaner, which needless to say was off putting again. Save your money, dont go there and get food else where. Your likely to end up with food poisoning or just feeling ill!

Appreciate the company has set up controls to cover Covid 19 but there is no alternative. You must have a mobile phone or the link. Surely they should set up a system of registering all customers. Laptop or signing in book. Old people don't always have mobiles.
