Turned up this morning to our booking which was made yesterday for 9.30am today, the doors were locked?...... after calling for the 3rd time we were told yes it was open but not for breakfast due to technical reasons, they said they called the home phone at 8.45 (I was doing the school run) we had a wasted 40 min journey- seems it didn't occur to them to email me to cancel ?? (I made the booking via email so they did have my email address.....why didn't they use it and save me wasting my time) Very oddly ran place (email later recieved at 12.40 for the booking being cancelled?)

Great service, staff were very helpful. Unfortunately childrens play area still shut but plenty of grass for them to run around or play ball. Sanitizer everywhere. A great visit was had by all in my party (9 on 2 tables)

Went out with my family during the week after a busy day at work and I spoke to a lady over the phone asking at such short notice if I can book at table of 3 and I was offered a space an hour after my phone call. She helped me out very quickly and was very polite! Once we arrived we sat down on a booth looking out to the beer garden so the variety of the foods was amazing although some was still not in due to regulations we still had a really nice meal and I found room for a desert. The gent at the bar was lovely and so organised. The chefs was lovely and the quality of the food was amazing. I’ll see you all again soon x

Beautiful friendly place and the staff are really helpful and friendly. Deserves 5 starts all day long and the food is fresh and very tasty

Have been coming here for years and generally not had a problem, but this time the wait for carvery was 30 minutes, which seemed quite excessive. Heard other tables complaining about the wait too. The food is fine and the staff is polite, but surely a better system is needed so that people aren't waiting so long?

Why are more people not going here? Lovely staff, great food, and everything organised to be COVID safe if that worries you. Fantastic value too. Meat cooked to perfection, everything absolutely delicious. Customers handle nothing at the carvery, the staff do it all for you. We enjoyed yet another fabulous meal here today - use it or lose it! Thank you Copperfield Carvery ️
