What a wonderful park but very muddy at the moment! The trails were very muddy and almost impassable in some places, we could really have done with a warning as to how bad they were. You definitely need a good pair of wellies and thick socks to keep your feet warm. We chose to walk the green explorer trail and also took a wrong turn and did a bit of the blue trail. We had to cut short and cut back onto the red trail by th efairie ring as we were extremely muddy and our 5 year old had already fallen over twice. It was fun, we all enjoyed it in the end but at the moment this is no \walk in the park

Great walks through trees a cafe still open a seating area, lakes and hills. What more could you want. Could be bigger? 14th Dec very muddy so wear appropriate boots and/or change footwear when back to car.

Firstly wow what a place. There is plenty of parking avaliable which you have to pay for its not expensive. There is a cafe and toilets on site, childrens playground which is really big. A picnic area. Lots of trails to walk on some can take about 30 mins others a couple of hours. Dog friendly and pushchair friendly around most parts. Really good signposts to show you where the trails are. A really well looked after site that is very popular would really recommend to anyone looking for a cheap day out or to get closer to nature.

Never been here before, despite living relatively close. Really enjoyed the trek through the woods, which had a number of trails to follow to cover all abilities and appetites for exploration. The line between established footpaths and areas open for discovery was well managed. We arrived early and parked relatively easily, but by the time we left (about 11.30am) there were cars looking for spaces. There are toilets and a cafe (although we didn't go in) so it's quite well served.

Tried the Darnley trail, good walk but a bit muddy, would recommend walking boots, some guidance arrow's missing but had downloaded the guide which helped, will try again later in the year.
