Grasmere is a lovely Lake District village. Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread Shop is a must, as is Dove Cottage Wordsworth Museum and the church where many of the Wordsworth family are buried. The garden centre has a pretty good cafe for lunchtime and other refreshments. It sells the usual garden centre stuff plus an assortment of other gifts etc.

Nice place to visit. They have a shop and a cafe which got good food.
Wonderful meal here today with excellent food and service. Everything beautifully presented and served. Fish n chips home made tartar sauce mushy peas absolutly perfect.Great selection of home made cakes and scone s lovely eatable menu with a great choice for all.reasonable prices and friendly service.
When the Maple trees are out (October) this garden centre is full of colour - See William Wordsworth's grave in the churchyard opposite and eat the best ever Gingerbread at Sarah Nelson's shop - You will smell it from the graveyard!
Ok ....a bit dated and old fashioned. Winter time so not much happening outside .
