Grantham and District Hospital

I was recentlt in Grantham Hospital for 4 nights following major surgery. I have to say I cannot fault anything at all. All staff were fantastic. They were helpful, and caring, and nothing was too much trouble. So Thankyou all for making my stay as good as it could possibly be!!

An excellent experience in the emergency treatment department. Wonderful staff. Well organised during these strange times. Felt very safe. I was seen very promptly and the doctor I saw was superb.

When I arrived at the hospital feeling ill I was confronted by a nurse who said I should have gone to the A&E at Lincoln, I felt like I was wasting there time and at this point they hadn't even carried out tests, I was sent there by Swingbridge Road surgery who advised an immediate visit to Grantham hospital, I find this appalling, the hospital had plenty of staff and did not seem at all overloaded by patients needing emergency treatment, its there service to provide help to people with health issues rather than trying to turn you away, I don't normally write reviews, im so appalled by this attitude towards people with genuine reasons to visit this hospital

A hospital that apparently thinks it is okay to blow off giving a type 1 diabetic 11x the amount of insulin they needed, and ultimately killing them in a painful horrible way. Don't mix up the carelessness and lack of empathy in your 'doctors' with \a lack of clarity.\ As a type 1 diabetic I am absolutely horrified to hear of the carelessness that came from this hospital.
