I utilized PODS for storage and moving. Delivery was on time but picking up both times was a nightmare. First time I had to reach out to the local manager who was very helpful because I needed it picked up by a certain date and he luckily squeezed me in. Second time I had to wait almost 3 weeks for them to pick it up. I was charged a full months rent because they do not prorate even though I tried to get it picked up earlier but they couldn't. The pick up times are weeks out and their website says due to high volume give them at least 7 days which I did. The online chat people I tried to talk to just told me \sorry no refunds\ but I did call and a nice man helped me out getting my refund.

The idea is great but when they can't pick up and deliver when you need them it kind of defeats the purpose. You have to wait weeks for a pick up slot and they charge you the whole time. Will just get a storage space next time.

I had 4 PODS for 8 months to store items from a building being renovated. Worked perfectly! The best part is that you can do this without talking to Rep, but verbal/phone service is available. They were water tight, placed where I wanted, easy to secure....it was a win win for me.

In my opinion, this is the ONLY way to move, whether it be across town or across the country. The PODS website was easy to understand and schedule delivery. The driver personally called me when he was on his way, and was very courteous and professional - and right on time. The PODS container was like new and clean, and the transparent roof made for easy night time loading under the street lights. I took as long as I needed to load it, which in my case was about a week. When ready, I simply logged into their website, and scheduled for pick up and delivery to the new place the same day. I definitely recommend them to anyone planning a move.
