Grand Western Canal Country Park

Excellent car park by canal. Old fashion tea shop open and was very busy. Lovely walk for a very long way one side of it. Canal boats and canal cafe boat are laid up due to Covid. Very quiet and peaceful today. Few dog walkers. We took a picnic, main canal area has several picnic tables and seats and children's play area with swings etc. Saw family of swans stretching their wings.

An excellent place for relaxation, walking \u200d️ on the tow path which is 11 miles and kayaking ,permits are required

Lovely place to walk and enjoy the sunshine and wildlife. The play area is fun, clean and safe. Canal tearooms below and separate from the canal, are great fit lunch, tea, coffee and ice creams. Highly recommended for a relaxing time in the fresh air. The area is patrolled and kept clean and pleasant.

Went up for hours fishing as it good choice of fish in all seasons plus a few dog walkers and runners going along the tow path plus good wild like duck swans and odd king fisher

Was a lovely walk along the canal, over Christmas so cafe locally was closed.
