I purchased a 5.9 jasper engine back in late 2016. For a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 sport Paid about 5.1k after labor and taxes. I’ve put about 31k miles (114,818-145,100) *give or take a few hundred miles.in this engine and it seized up. We assume since we never got to open the engine but my mechanic who installed it said that’s the only thing they didn’t rule out.My overall experience was this engine was WAY underpowered compared to the original motor (5.9 magnum). I accelerated like a slug. I tired to see if they’d work with me but they said they won’t even look at it since it’s passed the warranty and they’d charge full price. I was quoted 3,500 To fix it. I don’t recommend these motors as you can see in the reviews they aren’t worth it.They’ve lost my business and I’d even go as far as not recommending them to anyone. If you ever need a motor turn away from this place.

I am an independent shop owner in Lubbock Texas, we have been using Jasper engines and transmissions for 6 years, and have good reliability out of them. When we do have a problem (install enough you will) they stand behind their product. the 3yr 100,000 mile warranty is priceless to me as most of my customers are long time customers and I plan on continuing this relationship with them. we where using factory engines before jasper and warranty was always an issue.

Jasper would not honor the warranty because they said after the original purchase date they didn’t have to even they the replaced it a year earlier because of a defective transmission. The second transmission last only a year (9,050) miles. I only got 20k miles on 2 of there transmissions. Don’t buy a Jasper Transmission!
