Our Boy Scout troop used Gunflint Northwoods Outfitters for canoes and food on a 6 day outing on the border trail (Gunflint, North, South, Rose & Duncan lakes). Mandy was super throughout, even adding an additional crew with just 10 days notice. The bunkhouse was rustic, but a good adjustment to the upcoming primitive camping. Bathrooms were immaculate and cleaned multiple times per day. Pancake breakfast on morning of the departure was just for our crew so plenty of social distancing. Canoes and food barrels were ready on the beach. All the food was very well organized with plenty of variety and quantities. Van pickup was timely with a friendly driver. We only hope we can use Gunflint Outfitters again. Thanks for an incredible backcountry experience!

This was the 2nd trip that we used Gunflint Northwoods Outfitters for our outfitting needs in the BWCA. Mandy and Carson were excellent to work via phone and email throughout the initial process; from last minute scheduling, food choices, choosing appropriate canoes for our needs, etc. When we arrived they were great to work with in person too! We watched a short video on the BWCA upon arrival, received our necessary gear and headed to our bunkhouse to get our stuff organized before dinner at the lodge. Breakfast at the lodge in the a.m. before heading out. Staff was great as far as accommodating our schedule of when we wanted to leave and even offered to take our picture at the entry point! Definitely recommend for your BWCA needs!

Gunflint lodge is AWESOME! They were super flexible with pick ups and arrivals! They are super layed back and the lodges are beautiful! For how cheap everything was, it was some great quality! :) I definitely will come back!
