Am happy to add yet another 5 star review for this Veterans Administration Medical Center, essentially a full hospital with everything but an Emergency Room / Urgent Care department. Receiving services here during the summer of 2019 I was duly impressed with the level of care, compassion, and timing of quality treatment compared to many other VA Med Centers / VAMCs. Social Workers, P A providers, Specialty Physicians, Records and Appointments, Travel, and so much more were all personally found to be top shelf here. Grand Island is very much a veterans' city in many respects and their pleasure in being such shows across the community though it especially shines here. Would have no problem needing to be served here again in the future. Highly recommended for my fellow veterans.

Outstanding facility, with a professional and competent staff. I have been very impressed with the care I receive here. Any Nebraska or Iowa veterans reading this should get enrolled at the facility so you have easy access to the care you need. You won't find a more friendly staff anywhere else, and they are adamant about combating Veteran suicide and homelessness. With the passing of the Mission Act by President Trump, the social workers on staff have much more ability to get said veterans help within their local communities (if you live more than 30 minutes from a VA facility there are good options available). For example, the Mission Act can help if you require Chiropractic or Physical Therapy services as well as Counseling. Could not recommend more highly to my fellow Veterans!
