The worst curry we've ever had. Raita was like curdled cheese. Dahl was like lentil soup. Stale poppadoms. Frozen/tinned mixed veg in vaguely curry-flavoured orange sauce passing itself off as tikka masala. Sag aloo, onion bhaji and naan was passable. Avoid.
As a local in the area the grameen has been my go to curry house for years. I've had a couple of curries from there this year and have unfortunately been dissapointed. The first couple of times I thought perhaps that it was busy and just not up to its usual standard. But after the one I had this week I couldn't not leave a review. The staff are friendly enough at the store but I wouldn't say overly welcoming. The restaurant was empty. I ordered early at 5.30 pm so I figured everything would be nice and fresh and it wouldn't been busy. I have to say it was the worse curry I've ever eaten. Not only was it cold when I arrived home (I drove and live less that a 5 minute drive) but the curry was bland, watery, and had separated to some extent. I had a chicken korma as I usually do. It was in my opinion inedible. I won't be returning to the grameen after this unfortunately. Which is a real shame after at least 5 years of custom.
First night of our honeymoon. Decided to come out for a meal and randomly chose this place. Very nice food and best sag paneer we have ever tasted. Highly recommended.
Average curry house at fairly high prices. The staff were nice and friendly and the service was good. The food was average, like a typical cheap curry house.
