I've always loved the Grainger market. During the Covid I've had a few deliveries which have all been excellent. But I was in town yesterday so popped in. Only the food stalls are open atm.

Great market place for fresh fruits and vegetables. Butchers and an any Chinese dumplings and tea shop. Really nice to walk around and explore this market place just that a lot of the shops are shut during these difficult times.
Love Grainger Market. It's great that all the food providers are still open during lockdown, sad that everything else is closed.
In normal times the Grainger market is a great place to visit, (I am writing this during lockdown) good variety of stalls, try Muers fruit and veg stall the quality is superb , there's cheeses handbags and a quirky shoe shop, it's a very friendly place and you can have a good bit banter with the stallholders, go to the weighhouse ( if you dare) and find out your weight, it's been there for over a 150 years.
Spent one of the most enjoyable afternoons I've had in a very long time in the company of some wonderful ..kind.. helpful and interesting people...this is why it's so very important that we make an extra effort to support our local grainger market and places like this to prevent losing them for ever. Some of the conversations I had with the stall owners were probably the best and most interesting I've had in ages ..these people really do want to help you..do the best deals they can for you and get to know the customer whilst kindly sharing information ,stories both topical and, personal about themselves and the area we live in. I for one will be going back very soon and I strongly urge anyone wanting a charming feel good factor afternoon to do the same.
