Worst experience ever, return from Zugspitze (5/5 place) to garmisch. Had to wait half an hour standing in direct sunlight because trains could not handle the amount of visitors. Bad management and very pricey.

Very underwhelming experience due to the massively mishandled organization on the side of Zugpitze company. It took a bus and two train changes to get to the plateau which was in complete contradiction to what the website advertises. The result is that we wasted a total of 3 hours waiting for 6 vehicles that Saturday, instead of just 2 trains for the round trip from Garmisch. Worst of all is the fact that you are unveiled to these \details\ after you pay a hefty price. Absolutely not worth the money.
Worth spending money... Do try Cable car option too.. Also, Eibsee lake view from the train was stunning.
Very nice ride... catch a sunny day for your trip ... clouds and rain ? Not go to the top of germany!!
