We came for pizza and unfortunately were only informed they were out of pizza and lasagna (and a few other things) after they opened our bottle of wine and poured the glasses. Which is strange, when have you been to an Italian restaurant with no more pizza? And the no lasagne was an awkward thing as well since we were literally sitting next to a display selling lasagna noodles and the server tried to get us to get a pasta with exactly the same sauce, so I guess they were out of cheese? To be honest we would have left but the server had already opened the wine bottle open and we felt uncomfortable. So we got a starter and pastas, which were all meh. I’m sorry to say the sign when you walk already you warning you about slow service wasn’t quirky but more of a warning. I hope I’m the future the owners can try and have the service and food be at the same level as the cute interior.

Fantastic meal. I had the gnocchi with curry and it was fantastic. The homemade bread was soup fresh and wonderful. I got the tiramisu and it was absolutely divine. Strongly recommend this place. Everything was ready in a short amount of time.

The best in Gouda, authentic and well made Italian food. Great atmosphere and nice people

Christmas 5-course dinner. This sets the expectations high, because with the limited choice between fish, meat or vegetarian I expect them to choose the dishes from their normal menu that stand out. Well, 3 out of 5 were very, very good. Especially the pasta stuffed with seafood was extraordinary. 1 of the dishes was (for me) a bit underseasoned and lacked a fresh note. But overall very good. Definitely have to give the normal menu a try! The interior adds to the atmosphere resembling an Italian courtyard and a balcony overlooking that courtyard. Stylish, not overdone. Very friendly and good service, in many languages.

Give this one a miss. The entrecote is made from old boots. The service is poor and when I comment upon the fact they did not give me what I ordered they just start taking the piss out of you. After some explanation and encouragement about what it like to be civilised, they did say sorry but it stuck in their throats. I gave it a three just to be kind.
