We went to see where the cheese we like so much came from. It is a picturesque town that would be great for a day trip. There are canal cruises, cheese museum, Stadhuis and Cathedral that should not be missed. Also the cheese shop where there are a myriad of flavours of cheese... Even vegan cheese. Samples of everything that is on sale is available (as it should be). We left with truffle, garlic and regular Gouda small wheels of cheese. We were lucky and found parking a short walk away on the street near to a canal which is pricey as is the norm in the Netherlands.

4 for museum entry. Nice cheese here and the lady working in there is knowledgeable.
Mid-seventeenth century architecture and cheese making instruments and tools, combined with delicious traditional cheese in a beautiful old town center.
That's a very nice place with amazing history and interesting cheese taste experience, it's not expensive and worth one visit. Don't expect a big museum or a lot of different kind of cheese, but do expect a quality moment with family and friends.
Interesting place. The guy who gave us the tour was really kind, he even made an effort to speak Spanish for my mother who doesn’t speak English. Here you’ll learn about the cheese making process. I enjoyed learning about how they make what I am eating.
