Easy to get to the top with cable car! There is car park nearby or 90mints short time parking. The view is really incredible! The Toilet is clean and free.

Wow! I find it hard finding the words to describe this experience. Yes, it's a bit expensive but don't miss it. The view is spectacular and something you will treasure for life.
For its the bst palce to visit in Austria....its like a portrait. I really recommend this place for evebody. Just as the picturesque views draw visitors to the lakeside town of Hallstatt, the spectacular vista of the Dachstein Glacier rising behind the mountain lake helps to solidify Gosau as one of the top travel destinations in the Salzkammergut. Few visitors to this breath-taking jewel of nature know that the depth of the lake was increased by 12 meters as the result of damming in order to create a better water reservoir and more effective hydro-electric power production.
This was the highlight of our trip. Gorgeaus mountain plateau with great hütte food. Absolutely dosble with small children.
No choice, you got to take it if you want the incredible view on this incredible lake. Only lake that is more amazing in the salzkammergut area is actually in ..Germany: Konigsee, not really far, less than 1 hour drive, adjoining Berschtesgaden. But this one is a good second so to really make the most of your time, you have to take this lift and walk at the top of the mountain.
