Goodwood Orchard Residential Care Home

Awful place, it’s that bad the manager himself has had to leave a review his own wife reports them to cqc. Residents are left sat in one place all day, only time they get to move is for the loo or to have dinner. When I worked there I asked if I could take the residents for a walk & was told a straight no, voice raised & ask if I’d like to pay the insurance to be able to do that. When I raised concerns about the previous manager that another carer had told me she was giving the residents laxatives so the cooking got the blame as she didn’t like the cook it was myself that got the warning for daring to raise concerns ! Funnily enough the said carer that told me this left at the time & couldn’t face the music, stirred the pot then ran away ! I’d avoid! I would not put my parents in this place for free! It’s all about how they can save money! Sacked the chef to save a wage so the mother could cook for free! Shocking !
