The hotel itself was nice but the service was not as expected for a 4 stars at all - the bedroom was way too warm, the SPA was full and we had to cancel our massage due to bad planification. No dessert for dinner as nobody came to ask us if we wanted any...
Friendly reception staff, room with a vieuw very nice, but toilet seat broken After a shower the hall was flooded Drain could not handle the amount of water Dinner a disaster 4 people serving the dining room 1 handing out menu 1 taking orders 1 opening wine bottles serving water 1 serving the food They all stick to there job not helping each other ridiculous , It took 20 min before the drinks came round The salmon was not cold , warm The canard not eatable, could not cut it With a nice The woman in charge started laughing when i asked her to try it She wouldnt The mashed carrots tasted like babyfood Desert pfff Breakfast was ok friendly lady All in all 1 star
Having read some bad reviews we almost didn't come. That would have been a mistake. The location is excellent. The service in Reception is very good as it is the main restaurant. The foòd in the main restaurant is interesting, tasty and well presented. Our room is simple but clean and has a balcony with a beautiful view over the golf course. The golf course is well maintained and a little challenging. There hasn't been time to visit the spa or use the pool but it looks clean and well maintained. Sadly the service in the golf clubhouse was not up to standard. One person manning the bar is probably not enough. Overall we have had an excellent stay and we would definitely come again.
Dreadful greens, bunkers full of weeds and tees with more sand than grass. Accepting that it's been dry for weeks but that doesn't stop greenstaff working hard to maintain certain levels. There are much better condition courses within an hour. Try Porcelaine near Limoges and Sainte Agathe at Montlucon. Maybe we should have been offered a discount for the poor condition?
