Great safety awareness and actions for COVID Annual checkup today and really pleased at all the precautions GW took regarding COVID measures. Over and above the usual hand sanitisers, all surfaces down before usage, all equipment wiped down, optometrist is face mask, shield and plastic apron. And full marks to optometrist Luke for correctly spotting my glaucoma last year. Since had treatment and the tests today show the condition has stabilised and the eye pressures are really low. I'd recommend GW to anybody who wants their eyes to be properly taken care of.

Can highly recommended this optician. I have been attending for around twenty years and have a first rate service. Stuart and Trish have been looking after me this whole time and are both friendly and professional. My fiance also uses the practice and we both travel 30 miles to use them. Luke and the team are thorough and the care and expertise is second to none.

I can't honestly praise the staff enough for the job they do. By far the most thorough eye exam I have ever had after being a specsavers customer. Stuart who dealt with me in particular couldn't have been more attentive or helpful. Great atmosphere and surroundings. The glasses I now have from Goldsmith Webb are by far the best I have ever owned and will be back next time for sure. thanks again all involved.

On 02/12/19 I contacted for Goldsmith Webb Chelmsford store to book an emergency appointment after my eye became very painful from an incident of flicking dirt into my eye the previous day. From reception staff through to two separate appointments with different optician specialists I received nothing less than exceptional service. While still discussing the booking with Jackie, Receptionist, I received a confirmation text for an appointment with Luke, Optician. During the initial appointment Luke completed a very thorough assessment, provided helpful information, advice and guidance on the issues he identified, and devised a clear treatment plan for the following 5 days. A follow up appointment with Nina, Optician, continued a gold standard service level. Again, a very thorough assessment was completed along with a preventative treatment plan which has fully resolved the issue without need for further hospital intervention which had become my concern. Thank you Goldsmith Webb for the fantastic service and aftercare. I certainly recommend a visit to this store for any sight needs.

I've used Goldsmith Webb (formerly Harrison & Stanley) for over 25-years. 12 years ago I moved to Hertfordshire, yet remain with Goldsmith Webb's Chelmsford Opticians. The reason I've stayed a customer, simple, it's due to their superb service, fantastic customer care, quality and range of spectacles and crucially the experience and technical competence of their optometrists and dispensing opticians. My eyesight is precious, so i'm not about to trust it to one of those high street 'rush you through' national chains you see advertising on TV!! Goldsmith Webb I thoroughly recommend.
