This takeaway only restaurant is not much more than a hole-in-the-wall, with an associated waiting room. We visited twice while staying in the area and were mostly pleasantly surprised by the food we received. Although the chicken and roast pork fried rice was pretty bland, both the vegetable fried rice and the satay chicken were delicious. Seemed reasonably popular on both the visits I made.

If i could give no stars I would. Absolute joke. They can't stick to times and take to many orders that they can't fulfill. No social distancing and infact people waiting out the front. Waited outside in the cold with 2 children and they didn't even have the decency to tell us they hadn't even started cooking it yet and expected us to wait another half hour. Free covid with every order it seems

The food here is amazing, I have been going to this takeaway for over twenty years as an adult and when I was a child living at home. I have tried other Chinese takeaways but they pale in comparison to golden pool, they take such pride in their food and how its cooked. I especially love their chicken balls
