I visit Bath almost every Friday and treat myself to fish and chips from the Golden Plaice. It has to be the BEST fish and chips around. Portions are amazing. Prices are so good. You really should give them a try! You will not be disappointed. Added bonus, they are a really friendly couple. Absolute delight to visit. Put the pans away and treat yourself too.

Since I moved to Bath I’ve been somewhat of a regular over the last two years and the food has always been consistent. In my books it’s the best fish and chips takeaway in Bath! Both fish and chips are cooked to perfection. None of this soggy chip business. Owner is super friendly and always greets you with a smile. Another bonus is that they also accept card payments.

Lived in Bath for 15 years and have experienced most of the chip shops in Bath. The Quality and Taste of the Chips at Golden Plaice is always excellent, the portion sizes good. I would Highly Recommend The Golden Plaice Chip Shop in Bath!

Easily my favourite fish and chip shop in Bath. The quality of the chips is always fantastic and the staff there are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
