Monday night half-term tea; 3 courses for 15. Plenty of variety on the menu. Portion size and quality of food absolutely bang-on. Landlord has a very good handle on keeping his pub and restaurant Covid secure. Accommodated our family of four and a foursome family of friends on adjacent but separated tables in our own secluded area such that it was as good as an intimate dinner party at home without having to break lockdown guidelines. Well done Golden Lion Team, and many thanks for allowing us to wander off-menu to satisfy faddy children's wants and needs.

We called in today for lunch it was lovely I don’t eat meat so they replaced the roast dinner meat with meat free sausages I couldn’t believe the portion size huge Yorkshire pudding 4 veg roast potatoes roast parsnips mash sage & onion stuffing & gravy all beautifully cooked needless to say I couldn’t eat it all my husband had Haddock chips mushy peas tartar sauce again big portion very well cooked we will defo call again & would highly recommend.
Had a takeaway Sunday lunch, it was absolutely delicious. Excellent value for money. Everything was cooked to perfection. Well done. Very well worth a visit.
