great place to buy a detector. the owner is crazy knowledgeable. what i liked the most was he did not take me to the most expensive detector in the shop after he ask what I was looking for( meaning the type of detecting i was going to do) he recommended a less expensive detector. i cant wait to get out and look for stuff

If you have an intelligent question, Mr. Bill will not only answer it for you, but provide you with documentation for your furthing education. The best kept secret in Golden, perhaps Colorado!

Wonderful owner, Bill. Take all his advise it will lead you to gold. However be prepared to dig in rivers down to bed rock but hard work will yield results. Highly recommend this shop for all your prospecting needs.
This place is worth the trip! Step through their doors to a shop full of curios and trinkets from yesteryear. Golden Detectors is as much a museum as it is a supply store for prospectors and treasure hunters. My wife and i rented a metal detector from William, and he was kind enough to give us a full demonstration on how it works including a very in depth demo of the noises it makes when it senses different types of metals to help you find what you're looking for. William is an amazing man with years of experience under his belt. He will help you find what you're looking for!
