I have being going to the Golden Gate for 26 years. I have never once had a problem with any of their food. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The food is cooked right in front of you which I not only find fascinating, but also assured me that their cooking environment is spotless, and the chefs are skilled and efficient. I have tried other places within Folkestone, but all of them do not even get close to the lovely and freshly cooked meals you get at the Golden Gate. I would not go anywhere else. Thank you for giving Folkestone such a lovely Chinese takeaway for all these years.

Golden Gate never disappoints, always a quick service and great food. The only slight negative is that they don’t deliver. With that being said I never mind driving to pick up my food because it beats most places hands down. Chicken Balls with curry sauce always cooked perfectly. Try it out you won’t be disappointed and you will continue to go back there.

Prices gone up, quality of food gone down. Rice was stodgy. Chow mein was stone cold in places. Used to be good, but definitely gone down hill.

Pork in curry resembled something i would not even give my dog. Pork very fatty and had strange texture unlike any meat I've ever had. Put us off eating the whole meal and extras i bought costing just under 40. Crispy beef not crispy at all and prawn toast very greasy. Used to be good.here. will be last time i use this place unfor5.
