Was honestly a bit dubious at first with it being no delivery, but every single doubt has vanished. This place has well and truly impressed me and it is so much more worth it than any \just-eat\chinese takeaway, trust me. The portions were really big and the option to have boiled/fried rice/chips with your main at the additional price of 80p is an absolute steal. I honestly cant believe a total of 6.20 for a house special curry with rice, completely filled me, but it did. My partner had the traditional fish and chips and said it was the best. No over fried, greasy or soggy chips here. Huge portions of fish with crispy batter, 1 piece hung over the plate at both ends! Fantastic! Thank you very much golden fry no2. P.s for all reading this, if you forget its cash only (like I did), next door is a convenience store that does cash back, so dont worry.

Absolutely gorgeous chips, huge portions and piping hot. Fish was massive and not swimming in grease. Would highly recommend this chippy, I'm still thinking about it and it's the next day!
First-rate food. One visit isn't enough. And the chips are always tip-top.
We only came here because our regular chippy is still closed since the lock down started and we herared Gloden Fry had reopened. Staff were very friendly. Couldn't fault the fish chips mushy peas and gravy, lovely. Was our first visits to the Golden Fry, and it won't be our last.
