The fish and chips from the Golden Fish Bar are of excellent quality, but I had a strange experience there last Friday. I was the fourth person into the shop and was unable to see where I should queue or how many people were allowed in at once. I went and stood as far away from the other three as possible. A fifth person entered, he was served before me, strange in itself. Then four children entered the shop, none wearing masks, when they were also served before me, I left and bought Chinese next door. Come on guys, what's up! Nine people in the shop was obviously far too many! Why are there no proper signs? Why was nothing said? People die from this virus and I can't patronize an establishment that treats the current pandemic so lightly. Disappointing at best, dangerous at worst.
Great food, huge fish portions. Very poor customer service. Very rude and shouty in there. Won't be using in future.
Bought via Uber eats but wow the portions are incredible and the meat options like chicken burger and the wings are nice and big and juicy. Highly recommend it.
The owner is clueless about good customer service. Very rude fella! I was placing an order and he kept shouting his head off, had to leave without the food. Learn to respect your customers or close down. You ain't doing us any favours, you get paid for what you sell.
