Tried this place for the first time tonight, 1st class food ...great taste ... good qty .. plenty of meat . we will definitely return

Felt compelled to leave a review and I don’t normally for takeaways but after reading some of the negative stuff I felt I had to this place is awesome I had salt and pepper chips portion was huge they where well seasoned and nice and crispy then satay skewers only got 2 but never mind they where very nice then crispy chilli chicken which was awesome so can’t fault anything I live in York and contract all over the country so I eat Chinese food everywhere I go and this is honestly one of the best I’ve had in a good few month so I can’t understand the melts leaving negative reviews either I got them on a good day or the haters are one very picky bunch

It says open at 4pm. Got there got told to go back at 4.30. You go early to beat the queue.

This used to be an excellent Chinese takeaway. We tend to stick to staple selections from the menus of Chinese takeaways, so we are pretty good at comparing the quality between them. About a year ago we had an out of the blue poor experience of this takeaway. We thought the food was bland and my wife had the worst Crispy Shredded Beef she'd ever had, the meat was chewy. We decided to go elsewhere, the trouble being, we haven't managed to find another good Chinese in the area, so tonight we decided to give this one another go. I'm sorry to report that from our order of Pancake Roll, Special Curry, Singapore Chow Mein and Crispy Shredded Beef in a Chilli Sauce, only the Pancake Roll and Chow Mein were really any good. The curry contained two very large and totally unnecessary chunks of gristly, fatty meat which put me off almost immediately (see photo). The chicken was relatively tender but the beef was chewy and all the items tasted bland. Very disappointing. We ate it but they've had their last chance. We'll stick to Indian from now on.
