Pretty easy to catch here especially in the summer months. I always catch on hair rigged triple sweet corn using a method feeder with brown groundbait mixed with hempseed. Best lakes to fish are Gold or Syndicate lakes as in my opinion they hold the bigger fish. Top tip: try the margins as I catch a lot of fish here, need to bait up with a lot of sweet corn( maybe a tin ) and watch and hear your reel scream. Tight lines.
Really like coming down here. Everyone in the shop are very friendly and helpful. Very nice venue, great facilities and easy to get round. You can even park right next to where you are fishing in some areas. Caught some lovely fish too. Happy days !! Would highly recommend Gold Valley Lakes
Just visited gold valley, we had a great day. I Caught 5 good sized carp. Not bad seeing as I haven't fished in 8 years. And from what I saw everyone fishing around us caught. Staff were helpful and friendly and they have a great tackle shop. Forgot my catapult and they had a great selection to choose from. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis. Just wished they did night fishing as I bet it would be an amazing session.
