Absolutely fantastic gardens, and the autumn colours really made our visit even more specially. There is a nice café at the entrance where you can have a drink and a sandwich or cake. Strongly recommended!

Our first visit today. Absolutely beautiful! If you love trees and open spaces. You must go! The reflections in the lake of the trees and the leaf colours are wonderful. The mass of huge Gunners are quote dramatic too. We spent several hours here and will definitely be back!

Super Place and the Right to Visit, enjoyed the visit lasting 2 hours. Must see, could have been 5 entry instead of 8..... Kids under 16 go free anyways.

Lovely gardens. Much appreciated that they opened more weekends this year. The garden itself looks splendid and the courtyard garden is maturing really well. Cafe is open with table service for lunches when we went. Nice sandwiches and cakes etc. The garden has a number of different areas to it, from large rhodededron areas to a stream / bog garden and tree lined walkways. Perfect to explore over a couple of hours.

A good 2 1/2 hour stroll around a varied wood with japanese influenced planting underneath. Catch the shrubs at the right time of the year. Plenty of acres. A splattering of interesting garden seats and sculptures. A nice thing is that dogs on leads are welcome. Some trees are massive, where some are young. Many of the paths are challenging for the infirm or the likes of wheelchairs. You are encouraged to take any route so no problem with social distancing.
