Breakfast is fine, not as good as it used to be. Not sure why they serve Yorkshire Puddings with the Breakfast? Roast Dinners are nice, I think you enjoy them more knowing you don’t have to cook it or wash up. Facilities could do with a refit or a good thorough clean. They could take advantage of lockdown and clean the tables, toilets etc.

Pleasant staff and breakfast good value. But as always at Toby Carvery the toilets are a grim place

Pile it high and sell it cheap. Poor social distancing. Shown to our booked table as soon as we arrived. Seating was definitely less than 6 feet from the next table. Great staff fast, efficient and very upbeat. Sadly not all the food was up to the same standard. All the meats were cooked near perfectly. The vegetarian option - beer pie - was hot and tasty. Roast spuds were OK (just). The vegetables were soggy and tasteless. The Yorkshire puddings were also over cooked and with parts being inedible. I couldn’t bite through mine it was that tough. Gravies were tasty though slightly too salty for one of our party. Limitless soft drink option is worth getting. Parking is ok close to the building but the extension area further away is rough ground with some large puddles. Not suitable for elderly relatives with walking difficulties.

took our 2 grandkids here and we all had the carvery. no complaints, can you believe that from a 9yr old and a 7yr old! well i think you will find that says it all. every thing was just great. the staff were funny and professional. thanks for a great meal and time. special shout for Cardiff and Barry island. lol

Very average, bordering on poor quality food. It sounds cheap for all you can eat, but if you look at it more as 'all you want to eat" then that's a very different story.

Friendly welcome. Seated without having a booking no problem (especially on a Sunday). New process since we last visited but it was explained thoroughly by our server. Food was nice and it's a must to get extra pigs in blankets on the side! Lots of hand sanitizer around to use and staff all use masks.

The best carvery for miles. Lovely choices of food fresh hot and plenty. Happy chatty chefs, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable perfect for families and meals out with friends.

Very well organised and plenty of room to socially distance. Food is good and well priced. Brilliant for a family lunch (no more than 6 though)
