Its only a ruin - mostly foundations with 2 buildings fully restored - so don't get too excited, but its really well kept and the setting, on a sunny day, is really outstanding. It was so peaceful and calm. Combining it with a walk along some of the cotswold way makes for a perfect half day.

Wonderful and enchanting hiking trail right next to this Roman Villa. If you're here to take a look at the ancient ruins, then definitely also take the opportunity to go and walk down the hiking trail located in the forest right behind it. There's a bunch of beautiful spots to explore here. Mind you, the remnants of the Roman Villa could be a little more exciting but alas you don't need to pay an entrance fee and are free to explore the area as you please.

Very quiet spot below Cotswold escarpment. Easy access to visit if walking Cotswold Way path. Site is in care of English Heritage, with a small car park and payment needed. Site is not suitable for wheelchairs. Note there are no toilets etc. Probably a 30 to 45 minute visit to walk round the site. There are information boards to read.

Lovely location, with great views of the surrounding hills and animals - which our daughter enjoyed immensely. The car park is very nice, and there is a short climb from there to the villa. If you're into history, you will enjoy this...even if you aren't, you can't help but appreciate the journey, views, and story.

Set in an amazing location best visited on a sunny day for full benefit. A short walk from the car park up a lane. Not accessible if unable to walk. The buildings were closed when we were there so unable to see the mosaic floors. Still made a nice day out.
