Mike has been in business for 40 years and he takes the old school approach. He's a mechanic; if it can be fixed, and if the parts are available, he can fix it. I took my Royal crosscut shredder to him because it wasn't getting power. He called and said the main control board was bad and that he could fix it for 85. The shredder cost me 200 and it was out of warranty but less that two years old so I thought that was a fair price. He said he'd order the part and call afterward. He called me today to say that the part is no longer stocked and he argued on my behalf. How do I know? I left his shop today with a brand new Royal crosscut shredder and the bill was 85. I could've taken the old one with me but I told him to keep it for parts. I feel that he did me a great service and I highly recommend his company to anyone needing repair of a Royal shredder. He is also the sole repair facility in Illinois for any Fellowes shredder. Honest, dependable and fair... What else could you hope for? Customer service like his is rare!
