Absolutely stunning, so glad we stopped here. We meet the lovely Penny and signed up to RSPB with the intention to visit more reserves in the coming years.

Amazing place to see a wealth of bird life. Great Egrets are now a common site, and go in the Spring to experience the surround sound of Bitterns booming. RSPB have certainly managed this reserve well which has transformed the habitat.

I wish the RSPB could take over all the peatlands in Sharpham and preserve what remains from being stripped out by profit'only minded destroyers. I have seen beautiful pastures ripped out by Fisons and others like them. Heartbreaking. As for the stripped out remains thanks to the RSPB Ham Wall is a wonderful, peaceful place to walk quietly and observe the interest of serious bird watchers and photographers. The new 3 parking fee is a bit steep and only one paying point across an ugly and poorly kept parking area. Keep your presence there authe tic and unobtrusive RSPB! Apart from this, a blissful refuge from our noisy world.

Nice, easy walk with the odd bird to watch... It's good that the 50% of the loos are open again but during our pathetic second half lockdown the hides are not... Still we only go for the walking... the road to get here is pretty awful though, so be aware that you will meet subsidence along the narrow road

Great winter walk around the Rspb Ham Wall reserve. Even if you are not a serious bird watcher, the views on the level are superb. The walkways are gravel or wooden slats so even on a wet day it's not muddy to walk round. Plenty of birds on the lakes for you to watch and charts in the hides to help us non twichers to identify them.
