Lynne is a fantastic piano teacher for all ages and abilities. Lynne provides students with a strong foundation of technique, theory and skill allowing the student to stand on their own two feet and progress as a classical musician rather than just being guided through the learning process.

I feared ‘bus pass’ age was not the time to learn the piano but thanks to Lynne I was wrong. After only nine months I have learned an incredible amount. Lynne has remarkable patience which allows you to learn properly but at your own pace. Her limitless encouragement and support give me the confidence to push to keep improving, even if my focus is a bit off. Most importantly the learning is always very enjoyable. My confidence to experiment with music grows with every lesson and Lynne’s enthusiastic support with this boosts motivation and helps make piano learning and music really invigorating. I’m learning the skills and confidence to explore music, I’m doing it purely for my own enjoyment, I’m learning plenty, and it’s great. That doesn't happen without an excellent teacher. If you don’t know middle C from the Caspian Sea it doesn’t matter, the fun is learning and unreservedly I recommend Lynne to teach it

I came to Lynne as an adult beginner who couldn't read or play music, and now after almost a year i am coming to the end of my grade one piano book. I cant believe i can now confidently read music, every lesson is an absolute joy and i always leave each lesson looking forward to the next one. Lynne ensures that your technique is correct at all times and is very patient especially when i am having a lapse in concentration. I would highly recommend Lynne to anyone looking to learn or improve their piano skills, she is a brilliant teacher.

Lynne has been my piano teacher for about 18 months. I started with her as an absolute beginner and can’t believe how much progress I have made. I am reading music and playing at Grade 1 level- which for me, with no musical background, is fantastic. She is very patient, friendly and thorough. I have always found her to be accommodating when trying to schedule lessons and she is not a clock watcher! Sometimes lessons run over because she has been keen to complete things. I noticed a 1 star review and just cannot understand this. Lynne is a talented pianist, she teaches correct technique and timing- important if someone wants to sit exams. When I make mistakes- which is often- she helps in a constructive way and always emphasises the positives. I always look forward to my lessons as they are so helpful. Finally, I would highly recommend Lynne to any adult or child keen to learn piano.

This is Erin kerr but can't seem to post under my name! Technology, eh?! I came back to Lynne's lessons after 20 years as I knew she would be as enthusiastic, patient and pleasant as she always was and, of course, I have not been disappointed. I wish I had never given up as a 16 year old! But Lynne's attention to detail is bringing me on well, despite not being able to practise as much as I'd like!
