A large, sandy playground with two distinct areas for younger and older children. The older playground in particular is absolutely fantastic with lots of sand, several tall slides, rope bridges and a zip wire. The large perimeter fence is good for keeping children from running off while you relax but completely cuts you off from the rest of the park, which is a bit of a shame. There is just enough green space within the perimeter for a picnic though and there are toilets and a cafe in the People's Palace which is about a 5 min walk away. On nice days an ice-cream can often parks outside the entrance.

Currently closed to the public - no sign about reopening date? Was disappointing to cross town to visit and find it closed. Would be helpful if someone added times or date here.
The 4 slides are really good for the kids...but could really be doing with more swings.
