While on a short stay in the area. I popped into Girvan Community Hospital having suffered with back pain for several days. There was a nice Lady on reception who took my details and gave me a form to complete. After a short wait the Triage Nurse showed me into her office and went through my symptoms and current medication before giving me some suitable medication and advice. The Triage Nurse also advised me of the facilities at the hospital which I have to say, are very impressive. The hospital was spotless and the two staff members were very pleasant. The medication covered me until I was able to go home and see my GP, thank you.
New system of issuing appointments badly needed. Telephoned surgery on Wednesday last week to attempt to make appointment with Dr. Haddow. Was advised he wouldn't be in till Monday (17th December). Attended at 8.30 a.m. and requested an appointment with this doctor only to be told Dr Haddow wasnt in but Dr Ledger was available at 9.30. No objections to seeing this gp but would much rather see the gp who knows me and has been dealing with my ongoing illness.
