Complete life savers! I had a last minute event so went into the London showroom to try on some dresses. Immediately fell in love with a gold gown and rented it. Definitely recommending Girl Meets Dress to all my friends
I signed up for the infinite subscription for 99 per month, which enabled me to rent as many dresses as I wished per month. The team were slow to process my first order so I cancelled my subscription. I asked for a refund (since my subscription was unused), and GMD refused because ‘the contract says no’. Clauses in contracts which indicate that fees are not refundable are illegal. There are several pieces of statute which indicate that companies MUST give refunds to customers within 14 days of request. It has now been 14 days since my request and I have received nothing. GMD have now stopped responding to my emails. I have bought and returned many things in my life and I have never had an experience as difficult and painful as this one. I would also question the business ethics and honesty of a company which has blatantly illegal contracts and refuses to provide a 99 refund. I would not advise using GMD for the above reasons.
The dress itself was gorgeous. However, the process for obtaining and returning needs to be adjusted for this service to take off. The bones of the company are there - just a lot of flaws in the flow. There is a reason it has mediocre reviews... I received an email at 1030 on the day my dress was set to arrive for a drop off scheduled 3-5pm. However, l was already at work at 1030am and most people are working. I arranged to physically pick it up - luckily they are near by. The dress was pretty and I got a lot of compliments. However, I went to return the dress on Saturday - per my 2 day rental - but there was no included postage. I emailed immediately at 830 but there was no response, as they are “closed on Saturdays and Sundays.” I received an email Monday - but was out of town on holiday until Wednesday (left Sunday to return Wednesday) - that it was no problem they would charge me a 7 day rental. I tried to address it 2 times over email with absolutely no acknowledgment and they do not answer their phone either. Just a bit confusing, as they did not provide the necessary postage to return within the 2 day rental like I requested and due to their inconvenience of that plus not being open on Saturday I am being charged more... Likely will not be doing business with them in the future, unless things are adjusted.
I have used Girl Meets Dress quite a few times now and I'm always happy with the dresses and quick postage! You can try on more than one dress in an order and simply send back the ones you don't end up wearing!
I was really happy with the service from Girl Meets Dress! I booked a visit to the showroom and they were so helpful, kind and had lots of choices for me. I had to bring my 3 month old daughter with me and they were so nice to her, helpful and made me feel at ease the whole time. The process is so easy. I booked and paid for the dress that same day in the showroom and it arrived on the date they had promos very well packed. I will definitely use this service again if I ever need another dress for an event.
I hired bridesmaids dresses on GMD. The dresses were a great quality and beautiful blush colour. Very happy with the service!
