Looking for a mouth watering and delicious veg food? Then this place has it all, Gujarati and Punjabi cuisine served with love. Amazing food, amazing people and amazing place, in Lonavala this place has a separate fan base. I would recommend everyone to go and try Bhindi, buttermilk and Baigan bharta... heavenly taste for sure. The owner takes care of food preparation like he is serving his own family, wonderful to see such a dedication and love for food and customers... I will give 11/10 for everything they offered. Girivihar is the best hotel and Restaurant in Lonavala. The food is really amazing and the best quality one can provide. Rooms are clean and comfortable do consider it for your stay in Lonavala. They have a wide range of options in the menu.
Rating a star itself is a big thing for this Restaurant service. No doubt the food was good, but the quantity as per rate was very less. The service part of the restaurant was worst. Nobody was bothered about taking orders and serving to customers. And the attitude on the face of owner expresses as if they are running 7 star Hotel.
Being gujarati you are habitual having gujarati food. And personally I love gujarati cuisine. This place in lonavala serves authentic gujarati cuisine.The ambience gives you the vibes of rajwadi and the staff is very polite and helpful. For the start they serve you papad with the box which includes pickles and chutneys. For starters I had khatta dhokla - 'Gujarati cuisine mein dhokla nahi khaya toh kya hi khaya'. Dhoklas were extremely soft and delicious! For mains I had - Sev tamatar, Bhindi masala with phulka. Both the sabzis were outstanding and phulka were extremely soft with loads of ghee over it. For tasting I even tried bajra rotla which was perfect. I even tried kathiyawadi khichdi and kadhi. I am not a great fan of khichdi but trust me this time I couldn't resist myself from having it. Lastly for dessert part I had aamras which was mandatory for the season! Over all a great experience. Pocket - friendly place.Do head here for delicious food and amazing service!
